Mother Knows Best: Tales of Homemade Horror
Deadline March 31 (must be received by this date). Black Spot Books seeks unpublished horror stories by female authors (inclusive of cis, trans, and nonbinary femmes) on the theme of bad mothers. Editor Lindy Ryan says, "We're looking for your best horror stories featuring mother-figures: mama trauma, smother-mother, etc." No simultaneous submissions. Entries should be 1,000-5,000 words. This is a paying market.
