Sequestrum “Slipstream” Issue
Deadline April 15 (must be received by this date). Literary journal Sequestrum seeks unpublished poetry, fiction, essays, and hybrid-genre work for a themed section on Slipstream writing. General submissions are also open. Send one prose piece, maximum 12,000 words, or 1-4 poems, maximum 35 lines each. Editors say: "Slipstream crosses conventional genre boundaries between science fiction, fantasy, and literary fiction. It’s one of our favorite genres, but we’re not stopping there. We’re open to magical realism, cross-genre, urban/high/low fantasy, hard/soft sci-fi, experimental, absurdist, fabulist, weird, surreal, or a regular fairy tale. In short, we want literary-quality writing with a healthy serving of imagination." There is a $6.35 entry fee.
