Electa Quinney Award for Published American Indian Stories
Deadline March 15 (must be received by this date), formerly January 15. Neutral free contest gives $250 for a published story that continues the "tradition of teaching through narratives often crossing the boundaries of genres, formats, and disciplines". Publication in any form qualifies. No length limit specified. Provide full citation information for your nomination by completing sponsor's online nomination form. Co-sponsored by the Electra Quinney Institute for American Indian Education at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and the Native American Literature Symposium. The Association for the Study of American Indian Literatures began administrating the contest in 2021.
