Aplomb Gallery: Trauma Survival Poetry
Deadline April 11 (must be received by this date). Aplomb Gallery in Dover, NH seeks submissions of published or unpublished poems to accompany an exhibit by portrait artist Danielle Festa. Four poems will be selected to be on display with the paintings at the Portrait Project exhibition opening June 24, 2023, and published in an accompanying book through The Aplomb Project. Entries will be reviewed and selected in collaboration with published poets Anna M. Warrock and Janet MacFadyen. Send up to three poems relating to surviving trauma or overcoming loss with an emphasis on empowerment and strength. The poems should be no longer than 2 pages in 12 point font. Selected contributors will receive a copy of the book. $10 submission fee will be waived for hardship.
