Nimrod International Journal: “What Now?” Issue
Deadline November 1 (must be received by this date). Nimrod International Journal, the prestigious literary magazine of the University of Tulsa, seeks submissions of unpublished creative writing on the theme "What Now? The Future We Make". Send up to 7 pages of poetry or one story or essay of 7,500 words maximum. Submittable entries preferred, but postal entries also accepted. Nimrod pays up to $200 for accepted work. There is a $3 fee for online submissions. Editors say, "We're looking for work that examines both micro and macro versions of the future: our futures on individual, relationship, or family levels as well as our social, national, and worldwide future." Suggested themes include climate change and sustainability, racial justice, new versions of old myths, or how to survive personal and communal trauma.
